SGN Business Plan 2026 to 2031
Create 51’s price control expertise extends into energy, with the team playing a key role in the production of SGN’s RIIO-GD3 business plan.
With its extensive experience of regulatory price reviews and expertise in complex document production, Create 51 was a great fit for SGN as it embarked on producing its £4.5 billion business plan submission for 2026 to 2031.
Penny Hodge led the work becoming embedded within the company’s price review team working closely with the leads from across the company to bring the submission of the core plan document together.
She led the production of the main business plan document, through the process of drafting, development and multiple stakeholder reviews (including the company’s Independent Stakeholder Group). This included the management of the document design process, working closely with the design agency and corporate communications team to produce a focused and engaging document that met Ofgem’s regulatory requirements.
Supported by Joel Hufford and Rebecca Burgess, the C51 team worked closely with subject matter experts and external advisors to produce several strategy documents that supported the main business plan and ensured there was consistency and alignment across its submission.
David Handley, SGN’s Director of Regulation, said:
“Penny and the C51 team stepped in at a critical time and gave invaluable support in pulling the core business plan documents together and through design. We really appreciated the way they worked with us throughout.”
Penny continues to support the SGN team as it prepares for the draft determination later this year.
